Sea Seed

This place was just a steep walk down a hill from the salt factory. Sea Seed is a group that grows and replants coral in Okinawa to help preserve the island. That's about all I can tell you about the place as everything is written in Kanji/Kana. It was neat to see some really colorful coral up close, though, since we're not really into scuba diving. They have some neat tide pools where kids can pick up starfish, sea cucumbers, seaweed to feed the fish, and even jellyfish. A. actually reached in to touch a jelly, but then when a random lady lifted it from the water and tried to hand it to her, she backed away fast. It was neat to see what this group is doing. I'm not a marine biologist, so you'll have to ask someone else how coral farming/transplantation works. The way they had modeled their tanks with the white painted balls of concrete really made the place glow.
