Coco K's

The other week I was invited by a friend to get a pedicure at a place out in town called CocoK's. It's one of those places where you can choose from a gazillion things for them to paint on your toes with their tiny brushes, and they replicate it exactly. They even had a little place for kids to play, so I decided to try and hold D. while A. played, since all the kid-swappers were getting their nails done, too. :) From start to finish it took just over an hour. I got the most intense calf massage I'd ever had, followed by their crazy work with a pumice stone. The best part was when A. informed me she had to go to the bathroom while I was in the middle of getting everything done. A random worker was kind enough to take her, and when she came out the second time (she had to go twice), she announced loudly, "Mommy, I pooped!" The word "poop" was not lost on the Japanese ladies, as they all laughed.D. started getting antsy in the chair towards the end, but she did sit great for the first 45 minutes as I stuffed Cheerios in her face. Maybe not a totally relaxing day at the spa, but if they hadn't had a kid corner, none of us would've gone, so there ya go. The next best thing about this experience might have been discovering how in love with the word "Coco" the Japanese seem to be. In a matter of a quarter a mile, we'd passed Coco Curry House (an apparent favorite around here) and Coco's corner store.
If you don't like looking at feet, sorry, but I thought I'd show you my design. It's still going strong a few weeks later!
